Composition- Crossover

with HMUK support 2024, I was able to perform my solo work from 2 EP’s along with a few new compositions written for a trio. I now want to develop a collection of work that can be recorded into an album in the future, performed, and for a slightly larger ensemble.

The start of new work in 2024 with ensemble players Zac Gvi, bass clarinet, piano, accordion & Saied Silbak, oud/percussion.

A melody I wrote inspired by the Indian Classical raga system, performed with Saied Silbak & Zachary Gvirtzman.

Traveling the Face of the Globe Series (2024)

With my own artistic voice sitting between styles and regularly collaborating with unique global artists, I felt it was important to make a night that brought both Indian Classical music side by side with other styles. I curated an event at Jamboree to perform Indian classical with a trio- which was sold out and since have been hosting house salon gigs that are always full and have great reception- a chance for listeners to engage with different styles of music, instruments and players, up close and personal.

Two EPs below that I released in 2022 ‘Bleeding Heart’ & Rebirth- with a diverse instrumentation and London-based musicians. The proposed project will build on my multi-instrumental skills plus composition for varied instrumentation with fellow collaborators.

A TASTE OF OTHER WOrk: SOLO & Collaborative

Encounter (Three Miniatures for Cello)

A new work commissioned by Royal Academy of Music for their 200 Pieces project and premiered April 2021 by Jonah Spindel Live at Royal Academy of Music. The 200 Pieces project launched as part of RAM bicentenary celebrations.

Balladeste string duo, a collaborative project between myself & Tara Franks, cello. We compose all of our music together, and for our second album Beyond Breath, I brought Indian influences and devotional music as the starting point.
